Why Your Help Matters

Running a national preparedness organization takes dedication, skill, and teamwork. TACDA depends on experienced volunteers and board members who can step in and make an immediate difference. We’re looking for people with professional expertise who can take initiative and help us strengthen our mission in these key areas:

  • Grant Writing & Fundraising: Secure resources to keep TACDA’s educational programs and publications strong.

  • WordPress & IT Support: Maintain and improve our website and online store.

  • Media & Outreach: Manage our YouTube channel, host TACDA Live meetings, and grow our social media presence.

  • Board & Advisory Members: Provide leadership, ideas, and connections to help TACDA thrive.

  • Writers & Technical Contributors: Submit educational articles or preparedness guides for the Journal of Civil Defense.

  • Story Contributors: Share real-life experiences from disasters to help others prepare.

  • Training Development: Help create short instructional or product-training videos, including tutorials for the METTAG™ triage tag system.

  • Preparedness Advocates: Promote civil defense education in your community and encourage others to join TACDA.
