TACDA’s Emergency Communications Group brings together members interested in learning and practicing ways to stay connected when normal communications are disrupted.

Experienced operators and beginners are welcome. You do not need a Ham Radio license to join.

Some radio activities require an Amateur Radio license, while others—

ABOUT THE EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS GROUP

The Emergency Communications Group is led by TACDA member Bob Smith, N0OM, an Amateur Extra Class operator with decades of emergency communications experience.

Bob is a former USAF Auxiliary/Civil Air Patrol Communications Officer and Communications Unit Leader (NIMS/ICS). He has extensive experience in emergency communications and currently serves as the Black Sky EMCOMM Work Group Leader for the Joint Communications Task Force.

Bob is also a member of the TACDA Advisory Board.
