Rx Amoxicillin Trihydrate 250mg chewable tablets (40 count)Amoxicillin is a beta-lactam antibiotic. It belongs to the penicillin-family of antibiotics. Can be taken with or without food. Typically stomach upset is reduced if taken with food. Do NOT take this medication if you are allergic to penicillin.

Nausea and Vomiting

Rx Ondansetron ODT 4mg tablets (20 count)Ondansetron is an anti-vomiting or anti-nausea medication. This medication can be taken with or without food. Do not remove from the blister pack until needed. Peel backing off the blister, do NOT push the tablet through the foil backing. Do not swallow this medication, it will dissolve on the tongue. Using dry hands, place the tablet on the tongue and allow it to dissolve. No need to administer with fluids.

Dermatitis Itching

Rx Hydrocortisone Cream 2.5% (quantity 1)Hydrocortisone 2.5% is a low potency topical steroid. For optimal absorption of this medication, apply topical steroids to moist skin immediately after bathing or a wet soak. Occlusive dressings (bandage covering the area) can enhance drug absorption up to 10 times, so speak with a medical professional before using any dressings on top of this medication. Do not use it on open skin, avoid contact with eyes and wash hands after use.

Pain

Ibuprofen childrens 100mg tablets (24 count)Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). This medication should be taken with food or milk. Stop use and consult a health care provider if symptoms do not improve within 24 hours of use, if symptoms worsen, newly appear, or fever or pain last longer than 3 days.

Croup & Asthma Exacerbation

Dexamethasone 4mg tablets (5 count)Dexamethasone is a corticosteroid medication that has anti-inflammatory properties and has many applications for a wide variety of conditions.

  • Rx EpiPen Jr Auto Injector: 0.15 mg (Solution Auto-injector). Anaphylaxis. Epinephrine is an alpha/beta agonist medication. It is a life saving medication in certain situations.If you have signs of anaphylaxis, even if you have used your Epi-Pen correctly, you need to seek medical help immediately.
  • Rx Ofloxacin Otic: 0.3% Solution. Otitis Externa (Swimmer’s Ear). Ofloxacin 0.3% otic solution is an antibiotic ear drop in the fluoroquinolone class. Gently clean any discharge that can be easily removed from the outer ear. Warm the solution by holding the bottle in hand for 1 to 2 minutes prior to instillation. The tip of the bottle should not touch the fingers, ear, or any surface. Patient should lie on the side with the affected ear upward. Pull the outer ear upward and backward to allow the ear drops to flow down into the ear canal. Patient should remain on his/her side for at least 5 minutes. If necessary, repeat the procedure for the other ear.
  • Rx Silver Sulfadiazine: 1% Cream. Burns. Silver Sulfadiazine is a topical antibiotic. Avoid contact with eyes. Apply medication with a thoroughly washed and gloved hand. Burned area should be covered with cream at all times, so reapply where cream has been removed by patient activity. Wound dressings may be used if necessary.
  • Rx Triamcinolone Cream: 0.10% Cream. Dermatitis Itching. Triamcinolone 0.1% is a medium potency topical steroid. For optimal absorption of this medication, apply topical steroids to moist skin immediately after bathing or a wet soak. Occlusive dressings (bandage covering the area) can enhance drug absorption up to 10 times, so speak with a medical professional before using any dressings on top of this medication. Do not use it on open skin, avoid contact with eyes and wash hands after use.
  • Rx Albuterol (salbutamol): 90 mcg (Aerosol Solution). Asthma Exacerbations | Bronchospasm in setting of allergic reaction | COPD Exacerbations. Albuterol is a bronchodilator medication. It is an inhaled medication that works by relaxing muscles in the airways which increases air flow to the lungs.
  • Rx Fluocinolone Otic: 0.01% Solution. Otitis Externa (Swimmer’s Ear). “Fluocinolone Otic 0.01% is an anti-inflammatory ear drop used to decrease inflammation and pain in the corticosteroid family. MAY CONTAIN PEANUT OIL – DO NOT USE if you have an allergy to peanuts. This medication is only to be used in combination with antibiotic ear drops. Administer fluocinolone ear drops after antibiotic ear drops (ex: ofloxacin ear drops). Please note, fluocinolone drops are twice a day dosing which may be different from antibiotic ear drops. Follow dosing instructions for each medication as written. Tilt head to one side so that the ear is facing up. Gently pull the earlobe backward and upward during instillation of drops. Keep head tilted for about 1 minute after installation.”
  • Rx Oseltamivir (10pack): 30-75 mg (Capsule). Influenza. Oseltamivir is an antiviral agent used in the treatment of Influenza. This medication can be taken with or without food, but typically gastrointestinal side effects are lessened if taken with food. This medication is best started within 48 hours of symptom onset. Can also be used as prophylaxis to prevent flu in high risk people who have had contact with someone who tested positive for flu in the past 48 hours.
