PRI-G is formulated for gasoline and E-10.

PRI-D contains additional ingredients designed for diesel applications, but those petroleum-based ingredients are also safe for gasoline and E-10. PRI-G is a concentrated fuel treatment formulated specifically for gasoline. It is suitable for stored gasoline, generators, vehicles, boats, RVs, small engines, and other gasoline-powered equipment.

Its stability performance has been evaluated using ASTM accelerated fuel-stability testing.

Lubricity Protection for Diesel

PRI-D includes a lubricity additive package intended to provide additional protection when using ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD). This can help reduce fuel-pump wear while protecting important fuel-system components.

How PRI-G Stabilizes Gasoline

The minute gasoline exits the pipeline from the refinery, it begins to age and deteriorate. The rate of degradation varies depending on storage conditions, with heat being an important factor.

As gasoline deteriorates, potential problems include:

Start-up failures
Fuel-system and filter fouling
Gum and varnish accumulation in tanks
Excessive carbon deposits
Engine and fuel-system problems

PRI-G incorporates stability chemistries developed to help prevent fuel degradation in gasoline blends, including E-10 gasoline containing ethanol.

PRI-G is also formulated to help reverse the effects of severe gasoline degradation.

PRI-G has been evaluated using ASTM D525 oxidation-stability testing. In this accelerated test, gasoline is heated under pressure in an oxygen-rich environment and monitored for oxidation.

PRI reports that gasoline treated with PRI-G has achieved test periods exceeding 12 hours in ASTM D525 testing.

How PRI-D Stabilizes Diesel Fuel

Diesel fuel also begins to age after refining. Fuel composition, storage conditions, additives, and other factors can influence the rate at which degradation occurs.

Degraded diesel can experience reduced stability and contribute to deposits and fuel-system contamination.

PRI-D incorporates stability chemistries developed specifically for diesel fuel and is formulated both to help prevent degradation and to help restore fuel that has already deteriorated.

PRI-D has been evaluated using ASTM accelerated stability testing in which fuel is heated and oxygenated and the resulting insoluble material is measured.
